THE WORLD'S BEST-SELLING BOTTLED WATER BRAND IS HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES
3 December 2017
Too many of us are missing out on an important nutrient. It’s not a food. It’s not a vitamin or mineral. This overlooked nutrient is readily available, often free, and easy to take. The powerful player here is water, and when I mean water it has to be quality water that purifies and nourishes us. That's why we should only trust the best and I recommend Aquafina, the world's best-selling water.
Last November 16 during the Grand Launch of Aquafina here in the Philippines, I learned that its water is purified using the best technology available to purify water, this process includes reverse osmosis, ozonation and carbon filtration to remove things like chlorides, salts, and other substances that can affect the taste of water. With this, you’ll get pure water consistently every time you open an Aquafina. Aquafina prides itself in delivering consistently crisp taste in every bottle, no matter the market, across the globe.

Aquafina, the bottled water brand trusted by consumers around the world, is now in the Philippines. Known for its purity, Aquafina brand has won over consumers around the world since its introduction in the U.S. in 1994. It hopes to change the game once again with its expansion to the local market. “Filipinos always demand for quality and credibility and the same is true when it comes to bottled water. With the continuously growing water category in the country, it’s high time for Filipinos to experience the pure water that Aquafina has to offer, says Melai Lazaro-Javier, PepsiCo Category Manager for Juices and Water.
As the world’s best-selling bottled water brand, Aquafina likewise aims to bring out the best in every Filipino. “Each of us has what it takes to be the best at something. No matter how big or small they may seem to be, these successes deserve to be celebrated and be proud of. Aquafina hopes to give every individual the inspiration they need to become their best self”, shares Javier.
To further this advocacy, Aquafina chose none other than Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach to represent the brand’s philosophy. With an inspiring backstory to her now-stellar career, Pia undeniably embodies what it means to persevere, stand out, and eventually become the best.

PENSHOPPE SHEDS LIGHT ON BULLYING
25 October 2017
DJ Samantha Nicole entertaining the guests at Penshoppe's #IAmDifferent campaign launch
Back in 2009 when I was a new student in high school, I have been bullied by some of my batch mates. It was honestly one of my toughest times. These bullies have literally pushed me around to the point where I almost fell off the stairs. I can still remember when we lost our house from fire that same year, one student randomly came up to me and said, "Buti nga nangyari sayo yun". Could you imagine her audacity to say that to my face when I was still grieving? I was so furious that I wanted to slap her, but since I was a new student then I didn't want to make an action that would cause me a bad record and disappoint my parents. But the fact that the idea of physically hurting somebody came into my mind, only means that I already had enough. That time, I couldn't do anything but to run to the nearest comfort room and cry. These are things that I only see happen in movies and never did I imagine it'd happen to me.
For months, I felt like I was their bait, until one day I decided to stand up for myself. I opened it up to my parents who was very supportive throughout the ordeal, they wrote to school authorities and informed them that they were ready to take matters to the court if these bullies don't stop. They were serious about it.
Having an open communication with our parents or anyone in our family or friends is important, because then they can speak for us in times that we can't deal with the distressing issue ourselves. My friends and family have been my shield ever since, and this was again proven in 2014 when I experienced cyberbullying from fans of an international artist. I never thought cyber bullying was as serious or even worse as traditional bullying, until I was the one subjected to it (you could read the whole story here).
There will always be bullies and cyberbullies, these are people who see it as a way to be in control, people who are insensitive of other's feelings or simply, people who just doesn't have enough love in their hearts. Their actions or comments may sting for a while but eventually you'll learn not to let these rule your life. If you're being bullied, know that at the end of the day as long as you stay true to yourself, these bullies won't matter. Don't let them mock, isolate and bully you for being different. Rise up! This is what local retail brand Penshoppe aims to communicate with the launch of their newest campaign #IAmDifferent.

With the help of international brand ambassadors Bella Hadid, Lucky BlueSmith, Kaia Gerber, and Sandara Park among many other big names, Penshoppe brings its focus to the widespread issue of bullying plaguing the Filipino youth. This campaign presents timely opportunity for everyone to start talking about the pressing issue of bullying in the country. A study report that 1 out of 2 Filipino students have experienced or witnessed bullying in their schools. It has also taken a new form especially with the advent of social media as it provides a more convenient avenue to spread hate and thrive on people's insecurities.
At the core of this campaign is Penshoppe's newest collection of tees and caps which emblazoned the campaign statement "I Am Different" and "Different is Good". Each t-shirt from the limited edition #IAmDifferent collection features construction from luxe fabric and with a special identifier: a unique serial number.

NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK (LIESE CREAMY BUBBLE HAIR COLOR REVIEW)
9 January 2017
It's a new year, a chance for a new start, and what better way to face it than with a brand-new look? Last November, I was invited to attend the launching of Liese Creamy Bubble Hair Color (BHC), the newest hair color product that is now made available in select Watson's stores nationwide. I have never heard of this Japanese hair coloring brand prior to the event, that's why I was flabbergasted when I learned that Liese is totally hassle-free and affordable because if I knew then, I would've saved myself from shelling out an obscene amount of money in salons. But like what they said, it's better late than never.
Anyway, ever since the event I've already been itching to try Liese but since I can't have my hair dyed as of the moment I asked one of my blogger besties instead. Luckily, she agreed! It's also a good time since she's always been wanting to switch up her look.
For only Php 449.00, inside Liese Bubble Hair Color box you will find:
- Solution 1
- Solution 2
- Foamer Cap
- Gloves
- Rinse-off Treatment
- Instruction Sheet
(1) Mix the formula (Solution 1 and Solution 2) in the bottle with the Foamer cap.
Note: Don't forget to wear the gloves provided inside the box.
(2) Massage the solution into the hair.
Note: Roots will need more time to process so start there first then slowly pull the color through the ends.
(3) Rinse the solution off after 30 minutes.
Note: For better results, use the rinse-off treatment.
... and VIOLA!
Easy as ABC, right? So, why go to salons when we have a number of do-it-yourself options like this of Liese Creamy BHC! On Alejandrea's hair we used the Rose Tea Brown color, if you're wondering other color variants include: Raspberry Brown, Chestnut Brown, Milk Tea Brown, Milky Beige, and Marshmallow Brown. As compared to other hair coloring brand, my blogger bestie's hair remained soft and smooth and the color was evenly distributed on her hair!
As Filipinas continue to find ways to express their individuality, Vibelle—Liese Creamy BHC’s official Filipino distributor—will do its part in helping them achieve this noble goal. By bringing over this revolutionary Japanese brand to the country, the company is slowly changing how Filipinas view and practice beauty regimes.
With that, I'm sure you girls would also love to try this amazing hair coloring brand! Don't hesitate to share with me your Liese Creamy BHC experience on Twitter.

BE A WARRIOR, NOT A WORRIER
2 January 2017
These past few days I've been binge listening to Jason Mraz' album "Love is A Four Letter Word", and at my most vulnerable state, his song "Living in the Moment" came on shuffle. I'm at the point where I felt like everything was against me but instead of letting my emotions take control, I took a deep breath and smiled. As an emotional person, it's expected that I will really have a hard time dismissing these feelings, but Jason Mraz' song "Living in the Moment" slammed me back to reality. He's right, why worry about things that haven't happened yet? I realized if I keep allowing my worries to take over, I will only stagnate and it will only hinder me from appreciating the moment. The only way we can get through it is by allowing things to unfold as they should.
"I will not waste my days,
making up all kinds of ways
making up all kinds of ways
To worry about all the things,
that will not happen to me"
that will not happen to me"
I'm always inspired by people who push through problems, overcome obstacles and find ways to manage difficulties that come their way. It's not easy and yet they learn to accept what is. For me, they are the true warriors of life. As the title of this blog post suggests, we will only become one if we stop worrying and start embracing the challenges that life throws at us. Whatever it is you're going through now, treat it as a learning experience and believe that it can always make you a better person.
Like Joni Mitchell, Jason Mraz is one of the few talented artists I admire the most because of their incredible music and meaningful lyrics. With everything happening, his songs are like a sweet salve on the wound. If you're going through a tough time right now, may it be a heartbreak, rejection or loss of a loved one. It really helps to listen to some of his songs such as Living in The Moment, Frank D. Fixer and I Won't Give Up. Believe me, nothing will lift you up more than how Jason Mraz' heartfelt songs do.

Now, let's talk about my #OOTD! These pictures were taken in Capitole de Toulouse in France and because of limited resources this is probably the closest I can get to pulling off the "warrior look". I decided to put aside my bohemian style for a while and went for a more edgy fashion. I guess, we can all agree on the fact that black will always be the edgiest color. Thus, I picked this sleeveless top I bought from a store in Glorietta and matched it with this metallic shorts. To top it off, I wore this 3 chain necklaces from my favorite store. So... what do you think of the combination?
Before I end this post, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who's been messaging me about how my blog have inspired them - they are honestly the reason why I keep writing and doing what I love. 2017 will be the year when I'm going to focus on "The Sassy Theory" and hopefully inspire more people. *sniff* Anyway, don't hesitate to tweet or message me about the topic today! I would love to hear your thoughts :)
